ITINERARY:
Day One: Okanagan to Baker City, Oregon
Visit with fellow passengers as we travel south through Washington into Oregon for our first 2 nights at the Sunridge Inn in Baker City. Stops include the Osoyoos Duty-Free store, lunch in Moses Lake & coffee in Hermiston.
Day Two: Baker City & Hells Canyon
* Picnic Lunch
Scenic grandeur awaits as we travel through Richland & Halfway, once mining communities along Oregon Route #86. Following winding roads, mountain views & the Powder River we forge our way to Hells Canyon, the deepest canyon in North America, reaching depths of 8,000 feet. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the beauty of Mother Nature's creations before returning to Baker for a relaxing evening. (This road is subject to severe weather. An alternate day of activiites will be planned if weather is an issue.)
Day Three: Baker City to Wendover, Nevada

A day of sights through southern Idaho to our lunch stop in Jackpot, Nevada where the streets are named after casino games. Enjoy the unique Nevada border town of Wendover this evening. Unwind at the beautiful Montego Bay Casino and Resort.
Day Four: Wendover to St. George, Utah

Our first stop in Ely, was founded in 1868 as a silver mining camp & is now a centre for mining, ranching & recreation. Over Connors pass into Pioche, which used to be the richest, roughest & most remote mining boot camp in the state. Following a scenic stop at Cathedral Gorge, it's into Utah, land of majestic mountains & canyons. You'll see some of the state's largest trees as we travel through Dixie National Forest into St. George; which was settled during the Civil War by the Mormans. Settle into the Holiday Inn Express for the next 2 nights & enjoy a southwest style dinner this evening.
Day Five: St George, Utah

Join us this morning for a guided tour of St. George that includes the historical district with stops at the Opera House, the first Utah Morman Temple built between 1869 - 1877, the Tabernacle and the restored 1873 winter home of Brigham Young. Visit the Silver Reef ghost town, located a short distance from the city of St. George and hear the many folklore stories concerning the founding of this town. Return to St. George for a free afternoon, before embarking on an evening of Broadway with the production of 'Annie' presented in the 2,000 seat outdoor Tuacahn Amphitheatre.
Day Six: St. George to Kanab, Utah via Zion Canyon

A scenic day of geological formations in southern Utah awaits as we travel to Zion Canyon Visitor Centre for a stroll through the museum, then board the Zion Tram. Have your camera ready during this narrated scenic tour through the park with its narrow, tortuous canyons & colorful mesa scenery. Every detail of Zion Canyon comes to life at the Imax Theatre in the magnificent film "Zion Canyon Treasure of the Gods." Never before have you seen such beauty & drama on the giant screen. From the red rock mesas & spectacular geological formation of Zion National Park & the great Southwest, to Native American history & contemporary climbers challenging the towering cliffs. Travel through the most remarkable engineering feat of the 5,607 foot Zion Tunnel enroute to our overnight in Kanab, where hundreds of movies & TV episodes have been filmed due to the exceptional scenery of the area. Overnight at the Shilo Inn & Suites for the next 2 nights.
Day Seven: Kanab & Grand Canyon North Rim

Another day of visual delights as we travel into Arizona to the spectacular North Rim of the Grand Canyon (weather & road conditions permitting). Averaging 8 miles in width & 217 miles in length, this incredible mile-deep chasm staggers the senses. There will be plenty of time to browse the Canyon rim & be mesmerized by its vastness & chameleon-like colors. A box lunch has been included for today's journey. Return to Kanab to end another perfect day.
Day Eight: Kanab to Bryce Canyon

Keep the film rolling as we visit the windswept area known as Coral Pink Sand Dunes National Park. The park was established in 1963 & is the only major sand dune field on the Colorado Plateau. Ruby's Inn is our next stop for a delicious buffet lunch. We then tour Bryce Canyon National Park, an immense semi-circular amphitheatre of some of Earth's most colorful rocks which have been sculptured into pillars by erosion. Return to historic Ruby's Inn for an unforgettable evening in Bryce. View rock fossils, minerals & petrified wood at the Canyon Rock Shop across the street at Old Bryce Town; take a helicopter tour; go for a horseback or mountain bike ride; take a guided ATV tour; shop at Ruby's Inn General Store or just relax after your day at Bryce Canyon.
Day Nine: Bryce to Wendover, Nevada
* Buffet Dinner
On the road again - travelling north through Utah into the beautiful Salt Lake City, capital of Utah. Visit Temple Square, the most visited landmark in Utah. We continue our leisurely drive across the Salt Lake Desert & Bonneville Salt Flats into Wendover for another fabulous night at Montego Bay Casino and Resort.
Day Ten: Wendover to Baker City, Oregon
* Farewell Wine & Cheese reception
We stop once again in Jackpot, Nevada then into Twin Falls for a brief stop at the Perrine Memorial Bridge. Following a late lunch in Mountain Home, we continue into Baker City for the final night of the tour & our Farewell Reception at the Sunridge Inn.
Day Eleven: Baker City to Okanagan & Kamloops
Our tour to the Majestic Canyons of the South is now complete as we retrace our route through Oregon and Washington to the Duty-Free store. Bid farewell to new-found friends and return home with wonderful Sun Fun travel memories.
