October 26: Kamloops/Okanagan to Baker City, Oregon Visit with fellow passengers as we travel south through Washington into Oregon to the first overnight of our adventure, the Sunridge Inn, in Baker City, Oregon. Stops include Osoyoos Duty-Free store, lunch in Moses Lake and coffee in Hermiston.
October 27: Baker City, to Reno, Nevada Travelling through 3 states today we arrive in Reno late this afternoon. Circus Circus, located in the heart of downtown Reno offers an ideal location to the popular casino/hotels including the Eldorado and Silver Legacy that are all connected under one roof.
October 28: Reno to Palm Springs, California Bid farewell to the "Biggest Little City in the World" this morning as we head south on Hwy 395. Sand, sagebrush, high desert and big sky country dot the landscapes as we travel along one of America's loneliest highways enroute to the desert oasis of Palm Springs, arriving there late this afternoon. Settle in for the next five nights at the Palm Mountain Resort. This beautiful oasis is located in the middle of Palm Springs and only footsteps away from the famed Palm Canyon Drive. Across the street is the Mercado Plaza which features restaurants and a variety of boutiques and shops. Every Thursday the Palm Springs Villagefest takes place and tonight is no exception. Palm Canyon Drive is transformed into a lively street fair between 6 pm - 10 pm. Local artisans set up booths to sell their creations and guests can enjoy live entertainment and a farmer's market featuring locally grown produce.
October 29: Palm Springs ** Breakfast Relax and unwind today at your leisure. The activities are endless, many just steps outside your door.
October 30: Palm Springs **Breakfast Since the silent film era, the Desert has provided a respite for celebrities and the elite film crowd; that is why many of the streets are named after such famous icons as Bob Hope, Gene Autry, Ginger Rogers and Frank Sinatra. A local guide will join us today and let us in on Hollywood's Best Kept Secret as we enjoy a tour of celebrity homes. It's then off to see the Windmills where our guide will introduce us to Wind Powered Energy - a fascinating forest of renewable energy. Return this afternoon to Palm Canyon Drive and stroll down Palm Springs Walk of Fame and see if you can spot your favorite celebrity's star. Tonight we head over to the historic Plaza Theatre for an evening performance of the fabulous Palm Spring Follies. This razzle-dazzle song and dance extravaganza celebrates the music, dance and comedy of the 30's and 40's with a cast old enough to have lived it.
October 31: Palm Springs **Breakfast This morning enjoy the Living Desert located in Palm Desert, exploring the amazing varieties of flora and fauna of all the world's desert regions in one location. The amazing collections of wild animals that are native to desert regions are a sight to behold and the fantastic botanical gardens will forever change the way you think of the Desert. Cap the afternoon off with a visit to the Palm Springs Air Museum, featuring one of the oldest collections of still-flying WWII aircraft. Return to the hotel for a free evening.
November 1: Palm Springs Relax and enjoy your final day in Palm Springs. Palm Springs is known for it's excellent spas, casinos and shopping opportunities.
November 2: Palm Springs to Las Vegas Bid farewell today to the desert oasis of Palm Springs and say hello to another jewel of the desert - Las Vegas. Arrive this afternoon to Fremont Street located in the historic downtown district of Vegas. Your home for the next 2 nights is the Golden Nugget Hotel. Show Option: See a Las Vegas show while in town. Purchase tickets for the Rat Pack, playing in the Plaza Hotel, just steps from the Golden Nugget.
November 3: Las Vegas ** Breakfast Spend the day on Las Vegas Boulevard, visiting a multitude of attractions and casinos. Witness a jousting tournament at the Excalibur, travel on the Nile River, or visit a replica of King Tut's tomb at the Luxor Hotel. Visit a western version of the "Big Apple" including the Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge replica at New York-New York; the tropical rainforest at the Mirage and so much more! Have a fabulous time!
November 4: Las Vegas to Wendover, Nevada **Dinner Depart the city of sin this morning, travelling across the Nevada Desert, with its' old silver mining camps & ghost towns into Alamo & along the "Lonliest Road" into Ely. Spend the night at the beautiful Montego Bay Casino Resort in Wendover, Nevada.
November 5: Wendover to Pendleton, Oregon Following a final gambling stop at the popular Cactus Pete's Resort in Jackpot, we continue into the "Gem State" of Idaho to Mountain Home for lunch. Enjoy your last night of the tour in Pendleton at the Red Lion Hotel.
November 6: Pendleton to the Okanagan/Kamloops Familiar sights as we journey homeward with a lunch stop in Omak & the Duty Fee Store in Oroville. Bid farewell to new friends until your next Sun Fun adventure.
